Crushed potatoes with garlic & herb


  • Boil new potatoes (with skins on) for 10 minutes. Drain off water.
  • Crush potatoes roughly with a fork
  • Mix 1-2 teaspoons of Garlic & herb dip powder into the potatoes & mix together until well coated
  • Put potatoes into an ovenproof dish & drizzle with a little oil
  • Roast in the oven for 45 minutes-1 hour on gas 6 (don’t know other temperatures)
  • Serve with absolutely anything!

Any left over potatoes are also really good in Bubble & Squeak. It would probably work well with Romana too, but I haven’t tried it yet.

Chicken Cairo


  • marinate 3-400g chicken breast in 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 heaped tsp egyptian mix and a splash of dry sherry or white wine
  • stir fry chicken with green pepper and mushrooms. add a crumbled chicken stock cube and water. simmer
  • meanwhile boil white long grain rice and carrots in one pan with a teaspoon of lemon zing.
  • serve with steamed broccoli
  • serves 4 people
